Omkar

This is the symbol for OM, the sound of the simultaneous creation, existence, and ending of the universe. Pronounced Aum, the syllable breaks down into three parts: A, the beginning, U, the middle, and M the end, each a metaphor for its respective part of life. Note that when uttered, the sound can be stretched for as long as one wishes to sustain it. Om is chanted in meditation and as a breathing technique to bring elevation and relation.
